Today I went to the New Amsterdam Village at Bowling Green that was set up to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Henry Hudson’s arrival at what is now the New York Harbor. There are tons of events setup to celebrate through out this NY400 Week, the New Amsterdam Village is one of them. The village is consist of traditional Dutch canal houses, a windmill, a modern greenhouse. It showcases Dutch crafts from wooden shoes to blue painting to glass blowing. Madame Tussauds Wax Museum – what’s more fun than taking naughty pictures with wax figure of your favorite celebrities?
