I always love the East River State Park in Williamsburg despite it’s barren appearance with absolutely nothing but a lawn and some stones. I suppose the combination of the Manhattan skyline and waterfront is more than made up for the lack of anything else. The High Line at night takes on a completely different character. The carefully positioned lighting showed that this is no ordinary park, it’s more of an urban art work! Today is the opening day for the Northern end of the Gantry Plaza State Park. Since the weather was extremely pleasant with no rain and not too hot at all, I went to explore this new green space after work!

The High Line is finally opened! The long wait is so worth it because it is a park that like nothing you have seen before. 3 stories above the street, this garden in the sky changes your perspective of the city. It somehow has the same affect as a zen garden, it really calm you down. You feel peaceful.
