I must say I quite enjoy this extra book in the Twilight Universe. It certainly add another dimension to Eclipse and show us behind the scene of what’s going on outside of Bella’s point of view!  The most frustrating aspect of the Twilight series (also its strength) is that it was mostly told in Bella’s point of view, She might be sweet and brave but she’s definitely not the smartest person in the world!  Therefore it’s great to not be in her head and see the “world” differently.

Eclipse was okay in the sense that it is in line with my expectation. One good thing about the Twilight series as movie is that we can get outside of Bella’s head for once, and it’s most noticeable here on Eclipse where there are far more scenes where Bella isn’t there and we still see what’s going on! From the scenes in Seattle to the Volturi’s observation to Victoria escape from the Cullens and the wolves, these are what make it worth the jump to the cinema. …

I like the Twilight book series a lot, so I was able to tolerate all the problems the first movie adaptation had. Then comes adaptation of the second book New Moon. The movie version is an improvement on the first one, but the weakness and problems persisted. I tried very hard to figure out what went wrong and I think I figured it out. Upon hearing the news regarding Rachelle Lefevre, who plays the evil vampire Victoria in the Twilight series, is being replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard in the third movie, Eclipse.  My first reaction is not to believe the official story of a “schedule conflict,” and indeed the next day there are already words of war throwing between the actress and the studio.  My two cents is that this is not the first time Summit attempt to recast someone in their now blockbuster franchise!

Given that my posts about Twilight, particularly Jacob Black are the most viewed pages on my blog, I just can’t help it to post another Twilight-related news~
So the latest news for the sequel New Moon is the new cast picture for the wolf pack! They casted the wolf members and the first promo image is available.  Noticeable missing in the picture is our main wolf Jacob, I suppose Taylor Lautner want to work out a little bit more before he pose for shirtless shot~ :p
